The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) was founded in the year 1980 and chattered with the core mandate of regulating the training and practice of safety in Nigeria following the signing into law and official Gazette of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) Act 2014 (Act No 2).
Over the years, it has remained a rallying point of safety professionals in the country with impacts across Africa and beyond.
As part of the core mandates, ISPON maintains the register of National Safety Professionals in Nigeria.
The Student Chapters of ISPON are for those in their undergraduate studies, with the core aim of integrating them early into professional safety practice and helping them identify their career paths in the various disciplines.
Safety is for everybody, so is ISPON Student Chapters. Any student can join regardless of their faculties or departments of study.
